PRAISE and prayer for:
- the Church of the Nazarene began work in Puerto Rico in 1944 – a Caribbean island with a population of approximately 3.19 million people. In 2017, Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria with a death toll of nearly 3,000 people. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries responded by sending thousands of Crisis Care Kits, drinking water, generators, and other humanitarian items. The global church responded with an outpouring of prayer, funds and volunteers to help Puerto Rico recover. The official languages are English and Spanish.
- 4,026 Members; 55 Fully Organized Churches + 1 Not Yet Fully Organized Church; 45 Ordained Ministers + 24 District Licensed Ministers
- The LORD’s faithfulness during the pandemic. Arecibo Cotto Church of the Nazarene has been able to resume in-person meetings, and there has been a great increase in the number of people reached because a pastor who was previously a part of the Salvation Army donated a property that includes a house at a strategic point in the town of Humacao. This has created an opportunity for the Church of the Nazarene to restart work in that area.
- the work done by those who participated in Encuentro 2022. 7 concrete houses were repaired in multiple towns and there was also work done in churches.
- the commitment of pastors, their families, and lay leaders who have continued the work of the church in Puerto Rico
- JFHP Team report in Senegal
- My name is Amadou, chief of this village. I thank the JESUS Film team for showing us this movie. This is my first time ever hearing about Jesus. Seeing Him suffer and die for the salvation of humanity in my language touched me a lot. I asked the team to return for another screening. Thank you for sharing this message with us!”
- praise God for the 26 Preaching Points teams planted in Senegal in the last year!

- indigenous church plants (26 NEW preaching Points) to thrive and multiply among the many unreached people groups.
- Over 25% of the nation’s population, including 60 ethnic groups, reside in the city of Dakar. Pray for this city to become a source of gospel light for the whole country.
