Each of our 3 teachers has their own style and method of teaching Polish to their students. For the students who take advantage of each class that we offer, they receive a very well-rounded Polish language experience. Thank you Marta, Agata and Gosia for sharing your talents and intellect with our Ukrainian neighbours who are eager to thrive here in their host city.” #warinukraine #loveukraine
– gratitude and thanks to Jon and Shirley Fischer as they retire from active missionary service in Venezuela and Ecuador. The South American Region, through its Regional Director, Dr. Christian Sarmiento, expresses its gratitude. “We thank the Fischer family for their service of love and excellence in the South America Region. Their influence in Venezuela and Ecuador spread across boundaries. No doubt, their legacy will continue among us.”
– The Church of the Nazarene South American Region hosted its first conference on displaced persons March 17-20, in Bogota, Colombia. 36 participants attended, with representatives from all 10 countries of the region. The conference included days of intense and fruitful training as well as fellowship, reflection, and challenge for the ministry of local churches with displaced people.
The workshop, organized by NCM of South America (Nazarene Compassionate Ministries), was attended by 2 guests from NCM global: Brandon Sipes, Disaster Response and Humanitarian Crisis Consultant and Mikayla Shockley, Disaster Response Specialist. These two guided the participants in preparing a vision and development strategies as the Church of the Nazarene interacts with and works with disabled persons in South America.
“This was one of the most committed groups I’ve ever worked with in terms of training and planning,” Brandon Sipes said. “They were very keen to learn content about displacement but even more committed to developing plans to better support displaced people.”

—God is on the move. The harvest is plenty, but the workers are few. We ask that you pray for the more than 2,000 men and women enrolled in the different ministerial programs preparing themselves to fulfill their call better
—the health and provision for those affected by the pandemic.
—those whose lives and property were destroyed/damaged by the heavy rains in Ecuador. and pray for those who continue to bring relief to the communities affected
—the Lord to give strength and courage to the missionaries on the North Andean Field and their families.

BEREAVED families of :
– Norma (Weis) Morgan (Canadian, retired missionary), 88, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, passed away 10 March 2022. A retired missionary, who served in India and the Middle East, she was preceded in death by her husband (2020), retired minister and missionary Earl Morgan, who served in Kansas, Pennsylvania, and the Eurasia Region. She is survived by her daughters: Brenda, JoAnn and Janelle and their families, and her 5 siblings and their families. Earl Morgan passed away in 2020.
– Rev. C. Lee Eby – retired missionary (85), of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away 10 March 2022. He was a retired missionary and minister, pioneering the Church of the Nazarene’s work in Papua New Guinea.
– Dr. Kenneth Crow – 80 who summarized his career as follows: “In my 20s, I was a missionary (South Africa); in my 30s, I was a pastor; in my 40s, I was a professor and administrator, and then a church researcher for the rest (25+ yrs).” He is survived by wife, Edythe, their children; Gregory, Angela and Philip and their families.
